First Article Inspection is a formal quality control process used in manufacturing to verify that the first item produced (or a sample from the first production run) meets all specified design and engineering requirements before full-scale production begins.
First Article Inspection(FAI) right happens at factory for the first run of production. It ensures production starts correctly, and help you resolve Issues before mass production.
Our inspector will take several parts/ samples from the first production run, compare them to the client’s specifications to verify they match exactly. It makes sure engineering, design and specification requirements are rightly understood, accounted for, verified, and recorded.
Steps in FAI:
Review engineering drawings & specifications.
Manufacture a sample part.
Conduct thorough measurements (dimensions, materials, functions).
Compare results against design requirements.
Document findings and approve for production (or make corrections).
